Frequently Asked Questions
Why focus on senior care?
We believe that the needs of younger adults and seniors are very different. In the same way children are cared for by pediatricians who specialize in child development, we believe that seniors should be cared for in senior-focused clinics by clinicians who specialize in senior health. This singular focus allows us to create a healthcare experience for our patients that specifically caters to their needs, such as longer appointments, transportation assistance, community events, workshops, and other services that address both their health and well-being.
What is calyx health's approach to care?
We understand that seniors’ health needs are complex. Instead of a narrow, symptom-based approach to care, we work with patients and their families to understand their long-term goals and values. Our team takes the time upfront to develop an open, collaborative relationship so we can present a full range of medical options—always with the patient’s goals at the forefront. It's important to us that we're not just treating the body, but the person as well.
What can I expect when I come to the office?
